Portraits

Portraits have always been a font of inspiration to my work, starting from self-portraits, that was my way to investigate my inner world through physiognomy and expressions. It started as an academic study, but soon enough I was not interested in a realistic interpretation of the person I had in front of me, what I aimed for was to penetrate into the soul, as much as it’s allowed to me, and therefore create an artwork with a sentimental value.

I have been portraying friends, friends of friends, live or from photos, so people who want a special order for a special occasion often contact me to order a portrait for their loved ones. This forms part of my work, as the result is a personal interpretation of the face that I have in front of me!
