The Work of 1999-2001 for the thesis of her Diploma in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence is significant for the artist’s path. For the first time, she personalizes her theme, moving from the nudes-live models with no identity that she produces all along the four years of her studies. She makes self-portrait studies, initially observing her feature, but then getting deep into a personal constant questioning and introspectiveness, exploring together with her different states of emotions the changes on her face. There is no special interest for resemblance, but obsession to capture the expression and state of mind.
